Artistic and luxurious property north of Hilo
Positive: Josh, who is running the place in the absence of the couple who started it, does an outstanding job and was responsive to all our requests. The property itself, is an excellent condition and very artistically appointed. Both floors have large common areas and a very modern kitchen. The property has goats, chickens, and cattle in the surrounding areas. It is conveniently located to Hilo and in the area.

The best property stay that I have ever been to., so far…Well worth the money
Positive: We had a wonderful experience. It was peaceful to stay at this place with all the farm animals and the sea facing location was an added bonus.
Negative: I have no complaints but if I have to pick one I will pick on the cats :) trying to come close to you when sitting on the patio

A real bargain for the price, well located, peaceful and incorporating lovely artistic touches.
Positive: The location is about 8 minutes north of downtown Hilo, on a hillside above Honoli'i Beach overlooking the ocean. Close to Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, tea and chocolate farms, Akaka Falls. Beautiful view of farm fields leading down to the ocean. We had the Koi Pond Room which we selected for the easy ground level access to parking, to save my husband's knees. The community space on this (1st) floor is awesome -- comfortable living room space and kitchen. We were especially impressed with how the kitchen is equipped and stocked. We did not purchase breakfast but the kitchen is stocked with cereal, instant oatmeal and fresh fruit from the farm. Plenty of condiments to support any cooking you would like to do, and a well marked refrigerator system designates each room's private items. Fresh eggs can be purchased. We had the 1st floor to ourselves or shared with one other party most of our stay and all guests were quiet and friendly. I could have spent the entire day relaxing on the lanai, even when it rained, to watch the antics of the goats, sheep, and birds at the bird feeders.
Negative: We chose the Koi Pond room for its access but it was dark. It is on the north side and the windows are shaded by the overhanging lanai. I would choose a different room next time. No one seemed to be responsible for running the dishwasher or laundering kitchen towels and linens -- a little clarity in the Welcome book on when it should be done and who should do it would be helpful.
